They have discontinued your running shoes - the facts they don't want you to know about ...

It's every runner's favorite subject to complain about.  They've replaced your preferred running shoes again!  And now you can't buy them anymore.  After searching endlessly to find those amazing training shoes that's just right for your feet, now they're discontinued.  Discontinue a popular style of running shoes?

"Why?" ... You might ask.

Well, maybe you're new to the running world.  But it seems that manufacturers of running shoes - Adidas, Asics, Brooks, Mizuno, New Balance, Nike, Puma, Reebok, Saucony and others - routinely drop and replace various styles of sneakers every 12 months or so.

But, Nike, Adidas and the other guys only replace running shoes when they have a good reason ... like to improve Nike trainers for example - right?

Wrong!  It seems that many times your best training shoes are dumped and replaced by the athletic shoe industry because non-running consumers are attracted to the way shoes look ... more than the function of a great pair of running shoes.  It can be frustrating sometimes.

So what can the serious runner do when he or she discovers their favorite running shoes will soon be discontinued?

Well, runners can't do much to override the decisions of the athletic shoe makers.  But you can pick up two or three pairs of those amazing, comfortable running shoes that are just right for you.  And if you do order two or more pairs of shoes, then alternate them in your running program, because ...

By rotating your jogging shoes, they have a chance to recover, dry out and bounce back.  That means your running shoes will have a longer life and protect your knees better.

Or maybe you're looking for your first pair of trainers.  Or maybe you want to change to a motion control running shoe.  Either way, finding and ordering your jogging sneakers online is both fast and easy these days.

Search for stores that offer free shipping, or a generous exchange policy.  Some online athletic shoe stores even have an endangered shoe list.  If so, you can find out if your running shoes will soon be dropped.
