How running injuries can be created by your running shoes.

Do your running shoes ever let you down?  Have you ever felt sharp pains in the ball of your feet when running?  Or had running injuries located between your third and fourth toes?  If so, you could be suffering from Morton's Neuroma caused by your running shoes.

Running footwear is made to help your feet, not hurt your feet.  Right?  Well, most of the time. But occasionally pinched nerves can be caused by running shoes injuries.  How so?

This running injury can have at least two possible causes.  Your running shoes could have a toe box that is too tight.  Pressure builds up on the balls of the feet and the toes.  Another cause of these running injuries could be flat feet that roll inward which causes the nerves to be pulled more than normal. And the result?

The runner's toes feel numb or experience pain inside his running shoes.  If the toe box is too tight, then the widest part of your foot swells and pinches the nerves inside.

If this is the source of your running shoes injuries, then the solution is fairly easy.  Find a pair of running shoes that fit properly across the wide part of your foot.  Remember to try on your running footwear in the afternoon when your feet are more swollen.  If your athletic shoes are too tight over the widest area of your feet, then you have the wrong shoes.  Find footwear with a looser fit to avoid running shoes injuries.
