Do your running shoes fit poorly?  Two ways to lace your running shoes for a better fit.

Sometimes your running shoes just need a minor adjustment to get a better fit.  And it can be as simple as the shoe laces on your running footwear.  We'll offer two ways to lace your running shoes to improve their comfort.

First running tip.  Maybe you own a great pair of running shoes but you experience minor heel slippage.  Try the following technique on your athletic shoes.  Criss-cross your shoe laces normally and when you get to the top, then form a lace lock.  Here's how to tie a lace lock on running footwear.  Stop the criss-cross pattern on the next to last eyelet.  Then bring the shoe lace on the right side directly up to last eyelet on the top right side.  Do the same for the lace on the left side of the running shoes.  Now complete the lacing as you would normally on your sneakers.

Sometimes even the best running shoes can cause toe problems.  Doesn't matter if it is Nike, Adidas, New Balance or Saucony.  Running injuries could happen with any shoe.  So if you need help with hammer toes, or bleeding toes, your running shoes laces can be tied so the toe box is lifted.  First step.  Thread the shoe lace beginning at the top right eyelet of the running shoes and then bring the lace down diagonally all the way to the bottom left eyelet where you thread the shoe lace from underneath.

Continue your hold on that shoe lace and now move to the bottom right eyelet of the running shoes.  Finish the lacing job in a criss-cross pattern using that same end of the laces.  When you reach the top of the running shoes, then tie the laces as you would normally.  This will lift the toe-box area of your athletic shoes and help relieve some of the pressure from your toes.
